The Story Behind the Brand

BoDe 1969 is a collection of original designs and artwork inspired by the places we’ve been, the things we’ve done, and the moments worth remembering.

Many designs begin with the designer’s own life: road trips, motorcycles, old trucks, long days, late nights, family, adventure, resilience, and second chances. Some are inspired by shirts he owned and loved. Others are the shirts he wishes had existed for a particular trip, event, place, or chapter of his life.

That idea became the foundation of BoDe: create the things you wish you could have found back then.

A Style With Some History

BoDe blends the faded character of 1960s and 1970s graphics with the detail of old-world engraving and illustration, plus the bold linework and attitude of traditional tattoo art.

Add a little roadside Americana, vintage travel culture, old motorcycles, forgotten places, folklore, wilderness, and the occasional creature that may (or may not) exist, and you begin to understand the world of BoDe.

Nothing is meant to look overly polished or mass-produced. The worn textures, imperfect lines, muted colors, distressed lettering, and hand-drawn details are intentional.

The goal is to make something that feels like it already has a history, like a shirt discovered in an old drawer, a roadside shop, or the back of a closet that immediately makes you wonder where it has been.

Because the best things usually have a few miles on them.
